Kevin founded Active Junky in 2010 after seeing a huge opportunity in the outdoor sports market to help consumers save money at their favorite gear shops. Kevin has guided the company from concept to partnerships with hundreds of major brands and merchants with loyal users across the globe. Previously, Kevin founded a digital marketing company focusing on search and affiliate marketing after working as a financial analyst for Lowe Enterprises in Los Angeles. Kevin graduated cum laude with a BA in Finance and Economics from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Kevin is an avid skier and enjoys taking trips back to his hometown to spend time on Lake Michigan.

Danny joined Kevin to co-found Active Junky in 2010. With previous experience from his first company, CampInTouch.com, a social communication solution for Summer Camps, Danny combines a keen entrepreneurial sense with passion for technology, design, media and the outdoors. Danny helps to drive the vision and strategy for Active Junky while focusing on daily operations including sales and business development, product development, media and brand partnerships. Originally from Philadelphia, Danny completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from The Leeds School of Business, at The University of Colorado at Boulder. When not in the office, Danny spends his time in the backcountry with skis and a camera in search of big lines and deep snow.
Tommy started as an intern at Active Junky and joined the company full time upon graduation from University of Denver, where he earned a BA in Economics and Marketing. He specializes in media content production, social media, customer service, and graphic design. With a background in design, branding, and product development from his previous venture, the lifestyle clothing company Triage, he brings small business experience and a work ethic worthy of start-up life to Active Junky. A Colorado transplant with roots in New England, Tommy spends his free time skiing, mountain biking, flying planes, and playing golf. He's also worked in Guest Services at Copper Mountain Resort, as well as the Ski & Ride School at Keystone Resort.
Director of TechnologyAzusa Pacific
John manages the development and operations staff while providing hands-on guidance for strategic hardware and software solutions. John has led numerous software development teams, and has proven to be an expert in designing and implementing software applications, web services, content management systems (CMS) and Internet portals. John's career spans more than two decades with key roles at both startups and global Fortune 500 companies, including positions at Disney and Canon USA. At Disney, John was a founding member of Disney.com, which quickly grew to over 1 million unique users. While at Canon, John was the Project Lead for the Canon USA Internet marketing site, which included 10,000+ pages of dynamic content, and assisted with designing and selecting of the new Canon USA Customer Support System. John is skilled at building teams, in architecting and developing technical solutions, and in anticipating future goals and technology trends. In his spare time, you can find John tuned out from the techno-world, fly-fishing on a Colorado river with his two sons.
Director of Content
Peter started writing product reviews nearly four years ago, moving from periodic contributions to feature packages and sponsored content assignments. His background in journalism, broadcasting and brand development converge in his role as Director of Content. A lifelong outdoor athlete and collegiate Nordic racer, Peter's corporate and international development experience uniquely equip him to manage a diverse team of content creators operating in the U.S. and well beyond. With a passion for telling stories that move audiences to take action, Peter's belief in Active Junky's potential motivates him to create even greater challenges for his team across all seasons and active pursuits.
While Jon originally went to CU Boulder to become a molecular biologist, he found himself gravitating toward web development. Between studying metabolic pathways and working in a yeast laboratory, he created an internal website for the Flow Cytometry Laboratory at National Jewish, where he was volunteering. After college, Jon used those skills to begin his career in web development at tintedPixel, Spire Media, and Cactus. Working with the big boys, Jon soon honed his killer ninja skills. Whether it was architecting schemas, building out efficient logic, or making eye-popping css3 animations with the ease and whimsy of bob ross painting a landscape. Now, Jon practices his kung fu here at Active Junky, where he spends his time improving your user experience, and expanding the site to get you more deals and savings.
