FRUSTRATION: Everyone needs a reliable water bottle or two to maintain adequate hydration around town and on the trail. The traditional Nalgene cries out for ice to keep cold all day while a Thermos holds higher tea and coffee temperatures for only a few hours. A water bottle that maintains temperature integrity would be more than nice. One that takes some banging and bumping would be even more valuable.

FIX: If you like to keep hot tea steaming, cold water chilled and every liquid being transported free from BPA leaching, Hydroflask is center of the target this season. Hydroflask water bottles are fabricated from 18/8 stainless steel with a double-walled vacuum chamber inside. This construction creates a barrier between the liquid inside and the outside, ambient temperature. As testers learned, colds maintain temperature for up to 24 hours and hots remain stable for up to 12 hours.
