Chacos
In the spring of 1989, Chaco sandals entered production in the small, rural town of Paonia, Colorado. Chacos are designed to keep your feet comfortable at all times, and they come in three distinct styles. The original wrap construction holds your foot in place while weaving in and out of the footbed: like a more versatile version of the flip-flop. Chaco also manufactures a more rugged version of this classic, as well as the traditional flip-flop style. A great feature of these shoes is that they are machine washable and incredibly durable. NYC to SLC...Chacos on my feet.
I bought my first pair of black on black Chacos before a trip to the beaches of New Jersey & the hot, steamy streets of New York City. I have a difficult time finding shoes that don't hurt my size 6.5 feet (bunions and all). I bought a size 7 Chaco because I was afraid my toes would hang off the size 6. I have biked, hiked, & walked long distances in my Chacos. They've been on my feet at the beach, in the park, and in the city. They are the most expensive pair of flip flops I have ever purchased, but I would buy another. The canvas strap has stretched out a bit and I'd like my foot to feel a little more secure at times, so perhaps I will try a size 6 my next go with Chaco. I am back in Salt Lake City and it hasn't even been a full month since I purchased my Chacos. I like them a lot. My "other" sandals have not seen the sun since I bought these puppies.
