It’s tough to say what’s more impressive: rigging this 493-meter slackline, walking it or shooting this gorgeous video. French slackliner Théo Sanson walked from The Rectory to Castleton Tower, two iconic monoliths that scrape the sky in the climbing dreamland of Castle Valley, Utah. Supporting him along the way, aside from a thin strip of webbing, was a crew of notable slackliners, climbers and cinematographers.
From hauling the gear up multi-pitch routes to coordinating shots and ensuring the safety of all involved, this endeavor was no easy feat. Hearty congratulations to Théo and crew: thanks for inspiring us all to get out there and chase our passions—no matter how absurd.
