Uma Kleppinger, a contributor to Bicycle Times, has ridden far and read long to understand what’s permissible (or not) and why. As she’s learned, many fast-food managers and owners are paranoid about pedal-born customers. Some are concerned about robbery at the window, while others cite worries about cars colliding with order-seeking cyclists. By Active Junky’s analysis, the biggest problem would be riding-and-eating where triple-deckers distract from traffic ahead. Or ketchup throws derailleurs out of adjustment.
