If you thought mountain biking with two arms was difficult, imagine maneuvering technical singletrack with one. Thomas Bannister paralyzed his left arm in a biking accident, but that didn’t stop him from pursuing his passion for pedaling.
With Bannister’s uniquely configured shifting and braking system, he uses his index and middle finger to control the bike — surprisingly well, we might add.
