Salomon’s #FreeskiDreamTrip Really Was a Dream

Salomon’s #FreeskiDreamTrip contest had skiers post their best ski shots, pick a dream location and select a crew of Salomon athletes to take along for the ride. 

The winner of the contest, Nik Porsch, got a phone call you can only dream about: a call from Mike Douglas asking if he could take a couple weeks off to go shred Japan with Kaj Zackrisson and Cody Townsend. 

On the trip, they scored bottomless Japow and dropped pillow lines. Nik waded into new waters, tasting his first sushi, skinning on his first ski tour and shooting with a professional photographer for the first time. 

While the winner was obviously a charismatic and humble fellow, not to mention a decent skier, it’s hard not to be a bit jealous. Definitely the trip of a lifetime. 

This year’s contest is in the works, so don’t sleep (the contest ends December 1st) and make sure to enter here. Who knows, next year you might be decked out in Salomon and skiing with a crew of legends.
