Australia leads the world in the number of venomous creatures — and humans who feel the sting.  While the data show younger males, usually accompanied their friend FOSTER (in larger cans), pay the price for picking up snakes, there are plenty of U.S. threats hiding in wood piles and under logs.  The new app, SnakeBite911, makes identifying species fast and easy.  Nearby snake encounters are mapped as are emergency rooms ready for your visit.  While it sounds strange, there’s even a utility to visually track the venom’s progress to give med techs and doctors a dose of reality.  Watch the intro video here to learn more.
