As the name suggests, this freeride board is friendly in the skies. A setback stance compliments the scoopy, rockered spade of a nose as well as the stubby tail. The traditional camber section and twin sidecut are not centered, rather they’re kicked back around this setback stance, allowing the Flight Attendant to react well on hardpack and even handle landing and riding switch with proficiency—a rarity for a board in this all-mountain/freeride category. “Landing switch was infinitely easier than expected,” said one tester. “You can actually pop off lips and ride switch as well, big surprise given the shape.” Dropping cliffs into sticky Andean snow had testers thankful for the stretched nose and stout tail, as the Flight Attendant lands with the agility and strength of a compact jungle cat. Pop was above average, props to the medium/stiff core laced with a carbon backbone. Testers got a taste of how the Flight Attendant rips and floats through powder, and the consensus is they want more: “This board handles everything well; it’s an excellent pick for riders who dabble in everything but love to lay carves on corduroy, ride pow and get airborne in varied terrain,” said one tester. “A pillow line on this thing is going to be a insane.”
