UGG Kesey

The plush UGGpure wool footbed and lining feels like you’re padding around on clouds, but the stylish leather and wool-blend textile exterior bring some class to your game. The waterproof leather and sealed seams allow you to slosh right through those puddles, while the cork-infused Spider Rubber outsoles make sure to keep you on your feet. We were majorly impressed that a boot that looks so classy could withstand wading around in a mountain stream without any water infiltration. The UGG Keseys are easy to slip on and off with an inside zipper and generous finger loop on the heel. The buckle detail adds the perfect amount of polish to these casual boots that nicely toes the line between outdoorsy and fashionable. 

In addition to the brown-with-brassy gold accented casual boots we tested, there is also a black-with-silver-detailing option. The tiny, somewhat hidden pops of red showed up on both models, and give these casual boots a little more depth in their styling. 

Field Notes: These are great crossover boots, performing well not only in day-to-day activities, but also for weekend excursions out on muddy trails. The soles didn’t appear to be very rugged at first glance, and while we wouldn’t suggest taking these on any long treks, they were certainly grippy enough to tackle wet, slippery surfaces. And you don’t have to sweat puddles as these boots are fully waterproofed. We trudged ankle deep through an icy stream and there was no infiltration whatsoever. Their warmth retention is solid; however, in warmer weather the deliciously soft wool might be a little much. 

Tester Comments: “These winter boots had a bit of a break-in period for me, but once they softened up, I really loved wearing them for walking the dog, wearing at work, and running errands. They look nice enough for pairing with a cute outfit, but are durable and waterproof enough for actually wearing out in the wild as well.”
